The Post of Slovenia’s development of efficient IT solutions for their customers under the trade name PosiTa

Digital society is the society of the future, which along with new opportunities also brings new challenges. The Post of Slovenia has for a decade been a part of the digital society thanks to their electronic services and their digital service PosiTa that is successfully simplifying digital business to many satisfied users. Classic postal services worldwide are plummeting. Because of that, the Slovenian Post Group is developing more advanced services that are competitive in the wider region, not only in Slovenia. Key areas that promise growth are package, logistics and information services and in addition to the classic postal services they provide also more complex individual solutions for comprehensive supply chain packaging. Logistic field as well as efficient IT solutions for their customers. The Director of sales and development of IT services is convinced that the Post Office of Slovenia has made the right decision by entering the world of digitization and developing their own data centre which is evident by the full data centres. They were also able to develop a wide range of IT services - IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and XaaS for their most demanding customers under the patronage of their own brand PosiTA. The results are showing us that they have simplified their business for more than 100,000 users. Data centres are dedicated to advanced business users who are striving toward excluding certain system capabilities from their work environment to ensure a higher level of security.

Today the Post of Slovenia has over 800 square meters of data centres, operating in two locations - in Maribor and Ljubljana and because of the enormous demands by the large companies they started installing several PosiTa container data centres that provide additional capacity for their business needs. Currently, they are strongly focusing on development and are calming to be evolving into one of the most innovative postal operators in the world. In this year they founded the Post of Slovenia’s research cloud, which is a unique technological hub for promoting the use of information and communication technologies as well as innovative services in the cloud.
